An information session for entrepreneurs living in the US, who are interested in Sri Lanka's IT workforce and funding opportunities, will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Bethesda, Maryland on October 6.

The session, 'From Concept to Funding to Market' is organised by Nextventures Ltd, a venture capital firm and Laksoft Technologies Inc of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in collaboration with the Sri Lankan embassy in Washington D.C.

The purpose of this session is to bring together experts from US universities, financial and computer industries, and Sri Lankan government representatives to discuss the possibility of using the IT talent pool available in Sri Lanka. The session is ideal for those who have great ideas but are at the very early stages of equity funding.
