LTTE abduct Mannar businessman

Santhiago Jesudasan, a dealer in Building materials in Murukkan, Mannar has been abducted by LTTE terrorists on Friday demanding a ransom of Rs. 2.5 million for his release.

Jesudasan's son had approached a senior religious dignitary in Mannar with a view to obtaining his release but he had been told to try and pay the ransom if he wanted to get his father released. Meanwhile two LTTE cadres named Avutismuran alias Periyathamby and Shanmugalingam had surrendered to the Kiran and Batticaloa Security Forces Camps on Saturday.

Meanwhile security forces captured three LTTE terrorists with a hand bomb and two cyanide capsules during a search operation conducted in Sathurukondan, Batticaloa on Saturday.
