Two soldiers killed Two soldiers were killed when terrorists fired motar on the forward defence line in the general area of Maruthamadu about 15 kms north west of Vavuniya Town yesterday. Troops recovered six RPG bombs, six 60 mm bombs, twenty hand grenades and one 81 mm bomb in a search operation in the general area of Thanankilappu about 4.5 kms south west of Chavakachcheri on Monday. In another incident, troops on a search operation had recovered one T-56 weapon hidden under a culvert beside a road in the general area of Chavakachcheri. |
