LTTE link with Al-Qaeda The US placing the LTTE and Al-Qaeda on the same list as has been reported in the media on the 5th of November 2001, is a significant milestone in the investigation of terrorists throughout the world, but no link between these two organizations has still been established. With the intelligence resources available to the USA it should be possible to establish any link if one existed or still does. It would be impossible to believe that the LTTE, the world's most merciless, ruthless and brutal terrorist organization of 20 years experience that has grown with the assistance of the West, some being the personal assistance offered by Western members of parliament including ministers, does not have any links with Bin Laden. Whereas the killings of bin Laden are limited to acts of war by blowing up buildings and killing innocent people, the killings of the LTTE include not only the blowing up of buildings killing and maiming innocent people but also blowing up of commuter trains and buses, but that is not all. Where the LTTE terrorism excels all other forms of terrorism in any terrorist organization in the world is their ability in being able to look at a Sinhalese villager in remote rural areas in the eye and then hack him to death with an axe or grab a toddler who approaches him with an innocent smile by the ankles and then dash his head against the wall in his bid for ethnic cleansing. We do not think that bin Laden has that speciality. It is with this outfit that the West wants us to negotiate and come to a political settlement to save us from ethnic cleansing. Will they negotiate with bin Laden and come to a political solution to save them from the Holy War? Who knows that it is not Prabhakaran who advised bin Laden on the art of recruiting suicide bombers? No one in the world can match Prabhakaran in that skill. He is undoubtedly the world's only consultant in this speciality. That alone is a risk to the USA in particular, for any outfit that wants to inflict damage to the USA. This is something for the USA to think about. If any link is established between the LTTE and Al-Qaeda, the USA would in their own interests cut that link. That will be the day when terrorism in Sri Lanka will end, Let us hope, in the interests of not only the USA but also the whole of mankind that the USA will investigate any possible links between the LTTE and Al-Qaeda, not forgetting the possible role that the LTTE could play as Consultant.
