Driver dies in accident An election propaganda van of the United National Front veered off the road at Nalluruwa, Panadura in the wee hours of November killing its driver on the spot and injuring another. The driver has been identified as A. Nirosh Kumar Silva(28) of Pinwatta, Panadura. The injured Vijith Cooray(29) is a brother of Kalutara District UNF candidate Sujith Cooray. The Inquirer in to Sudden Deaths W. D. Adikaram, Panadura pronounced the death was due to haemorrhage consequent to the accident. Panadura Police, Traffic Division is conducting inquires. ------------ Two friends drown Two friends who went for a bath to Dambulu-Oya reservoir which is fed by Mahaweli water were drowned and the bodies recovered by divers. The dead persons were Susantha Fernando and Upali Jayarathna. In this connection Dambulla District Medical Officer Tissa I Perera held the autopsy and disclosed that the deaths were due to the asphyxia due to drowning. Later the Dambulla City Inquirer Into Sudden Deaths Piyadasa Wanasingha heard all evidence and recorded the verdicts of accidental deaths.
