People will teach defectors a good lesson - C. B. Ratnayaka

by Wathumulla group correspondent

People of this country will teach a good lesson to the MPs who crossed over from the Government for narrow political benefits by re-electing the PA on December 5, Nuwara Eliya district PA leader C.B. Ratnayaka said at Oyapalatha in the Walapane district. He said no one cannot change the PA rule since President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga is still the leader of this country, he said. No power on earth can turn the massive tide of support to the PA and the victory was assured on December 5th. During the last seven years the PA has carried out a large number of development works which have greatly benefited the people of the area.

The UNP who ruled the country for seventeen years since 1977 has not been able to meet the aspirations of the masses. Therefore the people will reject the UNP and PA dissident coalition. There are some disappointments among our party men. But they all are ready to rally round the PA and defeat the UNP. This time we should build a strong Government to seek solutions to our problems.
