by A. Wansathilake

The UNP wants to establish a Federal System of Government with alleged dictators like S.B. Dissanayake and let the LTTE to continue their ruthless activities further, JVP's Propaganda Secretary Wimal Weerawansa told an election rally in Kurunegala.

"Therefore, people should cast their vote with a sense of responsibility without believing false promises given by the corrupt ultra-nationalists." Mr. Weerawansa added.

He further said; "The people should cast their vote with a sense of responsibility without believing in false promises given by the currupt ultra-nationalist thugs. The JVP should not fall into the traps of political intimidators.

"Today the UNP wants to establish a Federal system of government with alleged dictators such as S. B. Dissanayaka, their dream is to install a weak regime whereby the LTTE can rule as they please.

Once the UNP came to power which is simply not on the card the LTTE will get their ban lifted and thereby further expand their terror activities in the country ", he said.

Both the UNP and PA, attack the JVP to win thes upcoming general election by resorting to thuggery as evidenced by the ongoing events.

During the UNP regime the people had to live in fear. The same people used violence against the political opponents and the trade union activities. Now they talk about democracy and promise to create a peaceful and harmonious society.
