Do not forget the fake promises of JR - Rohitha Tillekaratne

by G. P. A. Weerasuriya

The group leader of the JVP, Rohitha Tillekaratne addressing an election rally at the Senanayake Park in Badulla, said: "We must not forget the fake pledges of JR before casting votes. He promised to supply 8 pounds of grain freely. His motto was building a just and free society. But he did the opposite of it.

"We supported the PA Govt. to render a pure service. We could have done that within a short period.

The JVP funded a computer training school in the Hambantota district with a view to help talented, needy students. Now we are going to set up another computer training school in the Anuradhapura district too. We can get an efficient service with the help of technology. Comrade Galappaththi former MP spent his whole salary to launch a scholarship program in the hope of helping poor students.
