ICRC office reopened The ICRC office at Mutur in Trincomalee district was reopened on Monday. With the reopening the ICRC will be able to fully resume its activities in the Mutur, Seruwila and Ichilampattai divisions. This office was closed in early September due to a bomb attack. ICRC sources said the mobile health team operating out of Mutur would be able to extend its services to the population in remote areas with no access to medical facilities. Protecting of the civilian population of all ethnic groups will once again be carried out on a large scale. All other activities that the ICRC carries out under its humanitarian mandate will also be resumed fully.
