Lanka seeks Preferential Trade Agreement with US and EU

Sri Lanka will soon be pushing for a Preferential Free Trade Agreement (PTA) with the United States and the European Union to boost its apparel exports in the face of the elimination of the global apparel quota system in 2005, Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister Ravi Karunanayake told the Daily News last night.
