SriLankan additional flights to Singapore, Jakarta SriLankan Airlines began an additional weekly service to singapore and Jakarta yesterday. The new service operate on the Colombo/Singapore/Jakarta/Colombo route and will take the weekly service to Singapore to eight and to Jakarta to three. The flight will leave Colombo at 2250 hours on Tuesday and reach Singapore at 0450 hours on Wednesday. The flight will leave Singapore at 0600 hours and reach Jakarta at 0645 hours on Wednesday. The return flight from Jakarta will leave at 0825 hours on Wednesday and fly direct to Colombo arriving at 1150 hours the same day. SriLankan Airlines will deploy it Airbus A340 on this service. The A340 is equipped with some of the most advanced features in inflight amenities and entertainment facilities available today. All seats are fitted with personal TVs and personal telephones while Business Class additionally offers personal video players and a library of choice videos. Air-to-ground fax and laptop re-charging facilities are also on board features. "The new service to Singapore and Jakarta will enable us to better serve our customers in Colombo travelling to those destinations for business and leisure," Barry Brown, SriLankan's Regional Manager Far East said. "Since the return flight connects with our flights to Dubai, Kuwait and Riyadh, it will be particularly useful to those customers in Indonesia travelling to the Middle East for employment," he said. SriLankan Airlines also codeshares its partners Emirates' flights from Colombo to Singapore and Jakarta. |
