R.M.R. Ramanayake from Welimada and S.H. Nilakshi Inoshika Seelawansa of Passara won the Men's and Women's Cross-country race respectively, conducted by the Ministry of Sports at Badulla recently.

Poor turn out was witnessed at this Uva Province cross-country race with only participants from Badulla and Moneragala.

In the men's events, there were only 30 competitors while the women's there were only ten competitors. The winners will participate in the all-Island race, which will be conducted during March this year.
