Under the previous and present systems of Government, election violence has taken place and is bound to take place in future too during and after every general election if this constitution is not amended making it obligatory for the two major political parties the SLFP or the PA and the UNP or the UNF to form a coalition Government comprising members from both parties in case no party gets a two thirds majority in Parliament.
