Davis Cup: Lanka finish top of Lower four

DHAKA, Sunday (Reuters) - Kyrgystan and Bahrain qualified for the Davis Cup Asia-Oceania zone group three next year when they finished one two in the final Super four standings.

Sri Lanka finished on top of the Lower four group rounding off their matches with a 3-0 win over Brunei and 2-1 win over Israel to finish with a 4-1 record out of five matches.

Sri Lanka beat Brunei 3-0 (Sri Lanka names first): Franklyn Emmanuel beat Ian Chok 6-2 6-3, Rajeev Rajapakse beat Billy Wong 6-1 6-2, Harshana Godamanna/Rajeev Rajapakse beat Ian Chok/Billy Wong 6-3 6-0.

Sri Lanka beat Iraq 2-1 (Sri Lanka names first): Franklyn Emmanuel lost to Husain-Ahmed Rashid 6-7 (4-7) 2-6, Rajeev Rajapakse beat Haider-Hussain Kadhim 6-3 6-0, Franklyn Emmanuel/Rajeev Rajapakse beat Haider Hussain Kadhim/ Husain-Ahmed Rashid 6-0 6-1.
