A boost for tourism ITN (Independent Television Network) have agreed to be the exclusive Electronic media for the Miss Tourism Pageant and also for the Miss Sri Lanka Tourism Pageant which will be hosted one month before the world finals of Miss Tourism International in order to select a suitable representative for the International Pageant. She will join the main stream of the sixty international beauty queens visiting Sri Lanka for the pageant. A dynamic marketing strategy to bring maximum benefit to the tourism industry in Sri Lanka has been devise by Franchise Director and Chairman of the organizing committee Sebastian Perera along with his dynamic executive committee. This is the third time that Miss Tourism International Pageant will be hosted in Sri Lanka. The first occasion was in 1993 and then in 1996 and was organized by Mr. Sebastian Perera as Chairman of organizing committee and his committee members with great success. This year a cassette will be made not only of the proceedings but also of the island tours the Queen will take in Sri Lanka. The cassette will also cover the scenic beauty and the cultural heritage and unique way of life. The candidates all picked from a galaxy of international beauty queens will be exposed to Sri Lanka attractions in very a personal way to get a first hand experience. On the return to their respective country whether they have won a place in the pageant or not they will meeting in their respective countries our ambassadors or representatives to invite the media and travel agents and getting our ambassaders'/representatives to invite the media and travel agents in order that girls theirself will present Sri Lanka speaking about the experience in the country what they saw themselves and their impression on Sri Lanka. Seeing is believing and they will talk in their own language to promoters of tourism in their own country. According to the Franchise Director Mr. Sebastian Perera the Miss Sri Lanka Tourism pageant will bring considerable mileage from this very positive marketing strategy. |
