HRC Group in goodwill gesture HRC Group of Companies really turned it on, in the glittering splendour of the Grand Ballroom of Hilton when it recently hosted a lavish cocktail 'get-together' for their esteemed clients, friends and well-wishers. Engaged in light hearted banter and exchanging pleasantries were also present and former cabinet ministers and representatives from agency houses in Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and India. The relaxed animated conversations amongst those present, against a congenial atmosphere, gave way to Mr. Raju Radha, Managing Director, HRC Indisiri Ltd. who expressed delight in being at the launch here, making mention as well that success is achieved by much sacrifice and diligence and that they looked forward to a better future. It was also gathered that HRC Indisiri Ltd. operates a feeder service in partnership with Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) on their service from Navshiva to Shanghai with calls enroute at Colombo, Singapore, Hongkong and Pusan. It has also further extended its services to cover Tuticorin and Cochin by developing the 277 TEU capacity MV 'Sar Mathish,' coverage has also been extended to cover Male, Dubai and Laemchabanh on a weekly basis. The Chairman and CEO, H.R.C Seyed Chowdhury said that it was the President of Bangladesh HE, Si Al Rahuman who conceived the idea of a shipping combination between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and went onto remind the gathering that climatewise Sri Lanka and Bangladesh were similar and both known for its tea and that the Colombo port with its position could be the door to the outside world. We could therefore be felt work jointly with other SAARC group of countries and put our ports to good use. The HRC Agencies Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. are the local agents for HRC Shipping Ltd. Dhaka who operate a feeder service linking the ports of Chittagong with Colombo, Chennai and Haldia. |
