Govt has no solution to rising cost of living - Anura

PA MP Anura Bandaranaike said yesterday that Minister Ravi Karunanayake or any other person should not harbour any fears that President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga will bring bombs to the Cabinet since the Bandaranaikes have not trained at suicide training camps.

Speaking at the party's reorganisation function at Veyangoda, he said the Government gave many promises but none has been fulfilled other than slinging mud at the President.

This Government could not find a solution to the skyrocketing cost of living and the unemployment problem, Bandaranaike said.

He said the UNF Government has become unpopular during a short period. "We will topple this Government. The President has the executive powers in next three years."
