Top security firm's 10th AGM

by Ananda Kannangara

Plantation Industries Minister Lakshman Kiriella was welcomed by management of Bren Security (Pvt) Ltd on arrival to participate at its 10th Annual General Meeting. The meeting was conducted under the participation of Managing Director Major A.U.T. Aluwihare.

The day's proceedings began with lighting of the traditional oil lamp. The Minister also inspected the guard of honour presented by the company's security guards.

Established in 1992, Bren Security provides services of nearly 800 security guards to at least 100 clients at many organisations.

It also provides services of trained guard officers, female security officers and mobile security services for special occasions, including social gatherings and also to escort VIPs.

Major Aluwihare in his welcome speech elaborated the organisation's history. He said the company's services had to be expanded in the latter stages due to requests of more clients.

"We are an independent and a non political body. Our staff is highly dedicated and are willing to extend a better service to people at any time", he said.

Major Aluwihare said regular assessment of current security needs is vital to keep pace with changes relating to the client's premises, criminal activities and trends.
