Bomb kills three at Macedonia's Karachi consulate KARACHI, Pakistan, Dec 5 (Reuters) - A bomb ripped through Macedonia's consulate in the southern Pakistan city of Karachi on Thursday, killing at least three people, police said. No one was in the single-storey villa in the Defence district of the city at the time of the blast, police said. One of the victims, pulled from the rubble after several hours, was a security guard. The other two were not identified. No one claimed responsibility for the blast. Pakistan has seen a number of attacks against Western and Christian targets this year that have been blamed on Muslim militant groups. Sectarian violence is also common between extremists from the Sunni and Shi'ite sects of Islam. |
