The Ceylon Electricity Board which promotes the use of CFL bulbs in households in order to save electricity, has warned people not to purchase CFLs being sold without any warranties.

Insurance Corp tops premium income by over Rs. 1 billion in 10 months

The Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation topped its premium income for the 10 months ending October 2002, by Rs. one billion over the corresponding period last year."This brings the total premium income to Rs. 6 billion which is a remarkable achievement by the Corporation and represents the strength of the company," Executive Director, SLIC Sarath Cooray told the Daily News.
