Russia, Turkey increase pressure as US hikes up forces in Gulf MOSCOW, Monday (AFP) Russia and Turkey stepped up pressure to find a
peaceful solution to the Iraq crisis as the United States continued to
beef up its forces in the Gulf region ahead of a possible war with Iraq.The
US Navy announced that one of their giant hospital ships equipped to treat
wounded soldiers will set sail for an undisclosed location in the Indian
Ocean early Monday.
