Police probe petrol bomb attack

The Cinnamon Gardens Police are conducting investigations into a complaint made by Elliyas Vally Mohamed of Dharmapala Mawatha, Colombo that his house was attacked with a petrol bomb at about 10.30 p.m on January 6 by some unknown persons.

No persons were injured but the house was damaged, the complainant said.

The complainant also stated that an incident took place in the Clifton Lane Thakkiya while a case was pending before Courts.

Various criminal activities leading to a serious breach of peace in the Clifton Lane Thakkya had taken place. Earlier a complaint had been made to the Maradana Police and a case was filed before the Maligakanda Magistrate's Court.

Colombo DIG Bodhi Liyanage is directing investigations conducted by Chief Inspector Illeperuma, OIC, Cinnamon Gardens Police.
