Unmanned aircraft crashes by Thakshila Jayasekera An unmanned air craft belonging to the Sri Lanka Air Force crashed yesterday noon while flying over Alaveddi. The Israeli built aircraft nose dived into an onion plot, SLAF spokesman said adding that no one was injured. The spokesman said the aircraft had left the Palaly Air base at mid noon yesterday. Air Force Commander, Air Vice Marshal Donald Perera has appointed an inquiry Board to probe the crash. |
