A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Sri Lanka and the Securities and Exchange Board of India during the International Organisations for Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Asia Pacific Regional Committee and Enforcement Directors’ Meeting at the Taj Samudra on Thursday night. The MoU will ensure greater cooperation in conducting regulatory functions. This would also enable Sri Lanka to receive advice on regulatory matters from India and vice versa, (Left) SEC Chairman Dr. Nihal Jinsasena and SEB of India’s Chairman Dr. Ganendranath Bajpai exchange the copies of the agreement. SEC Director General Dr. Dayanath Jayasuriya is also in the picture.
