Wider scope for market intermediaries - Choksy

The proposed amendments to the Securities and Exchange Commission Act No.36 of 1987 will widen the scope of regulations of the commission to encompass new market intermediaries performing securities related functions, which do not at present fall within the regulatory purview of the SEC, Finance Minister K.N.Choksy told Parliament yesterday.
