Rajan (Colombo), Karuneswary (U.K.), Sivanathan (U.K.) and Surenthiren (U.K.), sister-in-law of Sanmugam (U.S.A.), Balasundram (U.K.), Atputhasothimalar (Colombo), V.T.S. Moorthy (U.K.), Dr Manjubhashini (U.K.) and Sarathambikai (U.K.), expired Monday 27.01.2003. Sumanasekera Banda, Surangani (U.K.), Yamuna (Mahanama Vidyalaya), expired. Cremation will be at 4.00 p.m. on 30th January family burial ground   Hidellana, Ratnapura.

JOHN PILLAI   Retired Chief Clerk of Wilehena Group, Imaduwa. Beloved husband of Elizebath, loving father of Ruby, Pearl, Susila, Michael, and Leslie, father-in-law of Ratnakumar, Prasanna, Rohan, Dilrukshi and Nilani, Entered Glory. Cortege leaves residence on Friday 31st for burial at Dadalla Cemetery at 4.00 p.m.   Hawpe Imaduwa. 

PINTO ­ MORAGODAGE ARTHUR.   Dearly loved husband of Cissy, son of late Arthur and Elizabeth Pinto, loving brother of late Bessie Wijesinghe and late Vema Jayasekera, passed away peacefully on 28th January. The remains will lie at the residence on 31st January from 4 p.m. onwards. Cortege leaves on Saturday 1st February at 3 p.m. for cremation at General Cemetery, Kanatte at 4 p.m. (Service at the Cemetery Chapel - Catholic Section).   12, Inner Fairline Road, Dehiwela. 

UMMU HABEEBA.   Beloved wife of late Khalid (formerly of CLI Band), sister of late Sheriff & late (Sample) Junaid, mother of late Sanoon & Nona Fareesa, mother-in-Law Ummu Saduna & Mohamed Bhari, sister-in-law of late Maynachi Umma & late Sithy Manoosa, expired on Sunday 27th January, 2003, and Janaza took place at Kuppiyawatte Muslim Burial Ground, on Monday 28th January, 2003.   No:57, Temple Avenue, Maradana, Colombo 10.
