Ceasefire Agreement : First anniversary on February 22

Light a lamp at 6.50 pm on February 22 to mark the first year anniversary of the signing of the Ceasefire Agreement, Agriculture, Livestock and Samurdi Minister S.B Dissanayaka has asked the nation. He also told the peace loving people in the country to make this gesture towards appreciating the Cessation of Hostilities between the Government and the LTTE.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Samurdi has also organised religious, cultural and social ceremonies to celebrate the event on February 22.

The organisers have decided to celebrate it in a festive mood under the theme "Sama Pooja" at all districts including in the North and East. The Mass Communication Ministry will assist in the program.
