Junior tennis stars shine in Maldives The Sri Lanka boys tennis team won their inaugural international tennis dual with the Maldive Islands, but the girls were defeated by their neighbouring counterparts in Male recently. The Sri Lankan boys team won 2-0 through two singles Sohan Patrick of St. Peter's and Chaturanga Widanaratchi of Asian International School (AIS). The girls had failed to win a single match and were beaten comprehensively (0-3). The Sri Lanka boys team comprised Chathurange Widanaarachchi (AIS), Sohan Patrick (St. Peter's) and Sasith Wickramasinghe (Royal) while the girls team comprised Thavindra Ekanayake (Visaka) Nadeera de Silva (Bishop's) and Shanki Dandeniya (Bishop's) with T. Pathirana as coach/manager.
