DANIEL SHAYANNAN   (Student Wesley College Colombo) Loving son of Arulchelvan (C.G.R.), Rose Jayaranie (Teacher Wesley College Colombo) grandson of Mrs Rasaratnam. Rest in Peace with God after brief illness. Remains will lie at A.F. Raymonds Parlour from 17th to 19th February. DE SILVA ­ LATHA   (Formerly of Velona Group). Dearly beloved wife of late Mr Edwin de Silva of Imperial Motors, precious mother of Nadeera and Sadhana, dearest mother-in-law of Neomal de Silva (Emirates - Doha) and Janaka de Silva (John Keells - India), much loved grandmother of Lashane and Dhanush, died under tragic circumstances. Funeral on Monday the 17th at Galkissa Cemetery. Cortege leaves residence at 3.00 p.m. 22B, Major Gunaratne Mawatha, off Templars Road, Mount Lavinia.

PARANAHEWA ­ WILSON.   Beloved husband of late Rosalin Paranahewa, loving father of Beatrice, Dulcy (Retired Teacher Sanghamitta College, Galle), Vijaya (State Timber Corporation) and Gamini (Director of Engineering Al Habtoor Group Dubai), father-in-law of late Gunapala Ramawickrama (Chief Education Officer), Daya Fernando (Retired Director of Education Hambantota), Deepthika (National Youth Service Council) and Shanthi, expired. Prints), Faiza, Azayim and Faizal (Australia), mother-in-law of Zahrulnawaza, Rafia, Nawazhulakram, Mufthaz and Shamila (Australia), grandmother of Fawaz (Reyal Motors), Rezona, Fiaz, Riyaz (London), Aflal, Raiza, Rusly (Teleworld), Fazeena, Yoosuf (Pan Asia), Ayesha, Hafeel Mohideen (Bismi Trading), Nazliya and Shiraz Shabeena, Shehan of Australia, great grandmother of Umair, Amra, Salma, Yakoob & Sarah, sister of late Abida, Abdul Hassen, Lafir, Anver & Jezeema, passed away peacefully on 14th February 2003 & Janaza took place at Dehiwala Muslim Burial Ground on 15th February 2003.
