'Bradman era' launch tomorrow

The launching of Premasara Epasinghe's latest book titled 'Bradman Yugaya' (Bradman Era) will take place at the BMICH Cinema Hall on February 27, Thursday at 5.00 p.m.

This will be the first Sinhala book written on Bradman the greatest cricketer produced by the world. Epasinghe gives a vivid description on Bradman and his contemporaries including the famous 'Bodyline Series' and the statistics of this great cricketer.

The preface of this book is written by Tony Greig. Sanath Jayasuriya's message is also included in the book. This book is published by Sarasavi Publishers Nugegoda.

The chief guest will be Gamini Jayawickrema Perera Minister of Irrigation and Water Management who was an outstanding schoolboy cricketer who represented Nalanda from 1957 to 1960 and captaining the school in 1960. The keynote addresses will be delivered by Sam Wijesinha and Kalakeerthi Edwin Ariyadasa in English and Sinhala respectively. The program will be conducted by Dharmasiri Gamage and Nihal Bharathi.

The guest of honour will be David Binns the Australian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka. A number of Cabinet Ministers and the Leader of the Opposition Mahinda Rajapaksa will also grace the occasion.
