Agricultural implements were distributed among farmers at the Thumpelawaha Agricultural Centre, Ganpola by he Minister for Plantation Industries Lakshman Kiriella.

the Minister said that the tea planting subsidy has been increased from Rs. 44,000 to Rs. 64,000 per acre, from this year and that tea land more than 20 perches would also be given the subsidy. He said the main problem farmers encounter in getting the subsidy is not having proper land deeds.
