Global support for 'momentum of peace' in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka told the international donor community on Monday that the current peace negotiations would be the "last chance to heal the scars of war and draw back from the brink". "It is now or perhaps never," Government Peace Negotiator and Economic Reform Minister Milinda Moragoda told top representatives of donor nations and agencies at the pre-Tokyo donor conference in Washington, DC.

US$ 560 m funding: IMF to consider Lanka's request

The Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will meet on Friday to consider the request by Sri Lanka for a US $ 560 million concessionary funding.
