Murali chief guest at awards ceremony Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan will be the chief guest at the awards ceremony of the Indian & Sri Lankan Indoor Cricket State Tournaments. He will be accompanied by Sri Lanka's wicket-keeper-batsman Romesh Kaluwitharana who is also the Sports Director of Austasia Group. The tournament was conducted from May 21 to 27 and was keenly contested between 9 teams from Indian states and 5 teams representing Sri Lankan districts. All matches were played at the Austasia Indoor Cricket Complex in Thalawathugoda, the only international standard indoor nets complex in Asia. This tournament was conducted by the Ceylon Indoor Cricket Association (CICA) in partnership with the Indoor Cricket Federation of India. This is the first time a tournament of such magnitude was put together by CICA which involved more than 150 players of which more than 100 were from the Indian states. The awards ceremony will be held at the Austasia Indoor Cricket Complex in Thalawathugoda at 7.30 p.m. on May 27th and will be attended by over 200 players and officials from both countries. |
