Army have the edge over Police The Sri Lanka Army, which scored a 33-25 win over Havelocks last week, have the edge over Sri Lanka Police in their Caltex 'A' Division League rugby match at Police Park today. The forte of both teams have been their powerful forwards and a terrific tussle for supremacy can be expected up front. Army's Rajapakse, Udayakumara, Jayasuriya, Fernando, Kotalewela and Karunaratne have stood out with their fiery loose play but today they will come up against equally good forwards in Shantha Rohana, Hewawasam, Muthumala, Wilson Kulatunge and Welagedera who are capable of matching upto their counterparts. However the soldiers have a superior back division. In Naufer Rahim and Ajit Peiris they have an experienced halves combination while centres Kapila Knowlton and Kenyan Pascal Watukeha are hard runners who are likely to test the police defence to the hilt with their daring runs while on the wing they have the services of that powerful runner Perakum Fernando in addition to an attacking full back T. A. Silva. Police's three quarters have failed to impress this season and have been responsible for their defeats and they will have to come up with a much better display if they hope to contain the soldiers today. Army won the first round game by 29 points to 3. The teams:- Police - Shantha Rohana, Asela Muthumala, Charaka Hewawasam, Pradeep Wilson, Asela Witharana, T. P. Herath, S. P.
