AMARASEKARA ­   Interment of the ashes of the late Dr Kumar Amarasekara, dearly beloved son of the late Kingsley and the late Olive and much loved brother of Rajkumari and of the ashes of the late Kingsley Amarasekara, dearly beloved husband of Ranji, will take place at 3.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 29th July 2003, at the family burial ground at the Church of Saints Peter & Paul, Mahabage Road, Ragama. A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel at   St Joseph’s College, Darley Road, Colombo at 3.30 p.m. on Friday, 1 August 2003.

Beloved son of late Periyathambi and of Meenambal (Canada), loving elder brother of late Thamotharam, Leela (Canada), Nagendran (Canada), Casinathan (Canada), and Mahendran (Singapore), beloved husband of Wijayalakshmi (Shantha), loving father of Chenduran (KBSL), brother­in­law of late Nagul and of Nanthini, Thanji and Thiru, Raveenthiran and Indhu (Lon.), Duke and Watsala (Canada), Marlene, Malar, Rushi and Devi, expired. Distributors), Dayani, Chandrani, Sriyani and Chithrani, father­in­law of Collin (Dulani Pawning Centre), Rohana (Wellawatta Police Station), Gunatilleka (Police Headquarters), Chandragupta (Ministry of Finance), Sandhya, Samanmali, Thanuja and Nirosha, expired at the age of 76 years. Loving mother of Raja Manoharan, Rajani, Dr Ranjani, Dr Ragini, Raveendra, Rajakosiny, mother­in­law of Suganya, Somasundaram, Dr Sarath, Prince, Vijitha, Galister, loving grandmother of Diviniya, Dion, Nirushini, Voshikan, Rackshini, Sanduli, Sachini, Karen, Rethushan, Keerthika, Thanushika.   Funeral Rites will be performed in Australia on 26/07/2003 Saturday. Pereira, brother of Revs. Gregory, Patmore and Patrick, Frances, Britius, Joyce, late Quintus, Dr. Sextus, Cynthia and Rohitha, brother­in­law of Malani, Susima, Lalitha, Ranjini, Joy, Wimal Perera (James Finlays), Doreen, late Victor and late Bertram, Brenda, Daya, Somasiri, Indrani, Seetha, Chandra, Chithra, Latha and late Lakshman, son­in­law of late Victor and Mrs. Dora De Alwis of Wasala Walawwe Pallolpitiya. The remains will lie at   St. Luke’s Vicarage, Borella till 2.00 p.m. on Sunday 27th July. Cortege leaves residence at 2.00 p.m. on the same day to Christ Church, Dehiwala for the Funeral Service and will be followed by the Burial at the Cemetery at 4 p.m.

Kandiah (Assistant Superintendent of Police), sister of late Mr Mylvaganam, late Mr Kanapathippillai, late Mr Sithamparappillai, loving mother of late Mr Kamalanathan, Mr Shanmuganathan (London), Ramanathan (Colombo), Ranjinidevi (Dubai), Niranjala (Canada), Mr Gobi Kandiah (London), mother­in­law of Shanthi (Colombo), Shevanthi (London) Sivasubramaniyam (Dubai), Kugadasan (Canada), Asha (London), grandmother of Thusantha, Ajit, Ravini, Sanjeevan, Sivani, Janakan, Kayatri, Darsini, Keythisan and Ashan. The Remains will be kept for last respects at   292, Hospital Road, Kalubowila, Jayaratna Parlour today at 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. Last Rites will take place on Sunday at 11.00 a.m. at 34A, Lilly Avenue, Colombo­06.
