KATHMANDU, Thursday (Reuters) At least 19 people were killed on Thursday when landslides triggered by heavy rains struck a village in west Nepal, a government official said.

Several houses were washed away when the landslides hit Manakamana village about 100 kms (60 miles) west of the capital Kathmandu, he said.
