Norway-SLMM focus on wan Ela LTTE camp

Norwegian Special Peace Envoy Erik Solheim who arrived in Colombo yesterday held talks with Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission acting chief Hagrup Haukland on sorting out the on-going dispute over the LTTE's unauthorised camp built in Wan Ela in the Government controlled area.

China to provide Lanka Rs. 400 million grant for economic development

The Chinese government has agreed to provide Sri Lanka a grant of Rs. 400 million for the development of the economy and the technological spheres of Sri Lanka, under the provision and concessionary loan signed between the two governments, the Prime Ministerial Spokesperson told the reporters in Beijing yesterday.
