by Clifford Landers The peace efforts are continuing to impact the tourism stage as KLM Holidays in Dubai has included Sri Lanka as a major tourist destination among its 15 choices after it experienced a successful customer response on completion of its first year operations. As a result, it is continuing in its efforts to increase the number of cities and properties in Sri Lanka and the worldover with the view of offering wider choice of destinations to customers. Currently KLM Holidays offer a wide range of hotels totaling over 450 hotels in 15 countries. Among them are renowned chains in various continents. Vincent Knoops, General Managing Director, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Arabia Peninsula,Sri Lanka, Pakistan and the Maldives told the 'Daily News' that "We have experienced a challenging first year with the effects of Iraq war and SARS affecting people's decisions to travel. Nevertheless, we have enjoyed a fantastic response and hope to continue to offer our customers added value holidays." He said KLM had launched special deals for its customers to their favourite destinations including Sri Lanka due to the global selection on offer and the latest introduction of 'hotel only' packages. KLM has also developed a web site with an emphasis on creating a comprehensive booking system. |
