Four giants in the business world in Asia are scheduled to visit Sri Lanka next month to address the Business Convention 2003 on "Regaining Sri Lanka and Beyond" to be held from October 16 to 18 at the Colombo Plaza organised by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce(CCC).

The CCC Annual Business Convention 2003, is being organised for the fourth year in succession. The CCC Annual Conventions, which have become eagerly- awaited events in the Sri Lankan business calendar, are part of the Chamber's efforts to identify and address future trends and key issues to assist businesses in developing strategic business plans to meet new challenges and opportunities.

"Regaining Sri Lanka", presents the Government's strategy to meet the economic challenges facing the country and put the economy on a path to reap the benefits of a vibrant economy.

As a leading Chamber we have taken the initiative to select a topic which is a priority of the Government, International Aid Agencies and the Business sector and to provide a forum for the participation and discussion of representatives from all these sectors. Chairman of the Convention Sub Committee Prof Lakshman Watawala, said that the forthcoming Convention will feature presentations on key strategic initiatives and discussions on the modalities of achieving these goals.

In addition, priority action plans will be identified to set the pace for Sri Lanka to emerge as a centre for growth in the region.
