by Asela Kuruluwansa The Kandy High Court verdict in the Sri Dalada Maligawa bomb attack case will be delivered today. The accused are Subramanium Ravindran, Muthulingam Jeevaraja, Muttusamipillai Dharmalingam and Krishnasamy Ramachandran. The first accused is yet to be arrested. They were indicted on 149 charges including conspiracy to harm the Dalada Maligawa using explosives and aiding and abetting in the crime. The bomb attack claimed 23 lives while 63 relatives of the victims testified as witnesses. The case was heard before Kandy High Court Judge D. S. C. Lekamwasam. Senior State Counsel Buvaneka Aluvihare prosecuted while Haripriya Jayasundera appeared for the defence. |
