Point of view : The peace process - is it on the right track? By Lloyd F Yapa The twenty year war in the North and the East ended with the government
signing a ceasefire agreement with the LTTE . Several rounds of talks
aimed at arriving at a political settlement to the ethnic problem were
held amidst great expectations of a prosperous era round the corner. These
hopes were somewhat dampened, when the LTTE withdrew from the peace talks,
