Bourse turnover up The turnover at the Colombo Bourse yesterday increased to Rs. 277,411,383 from Rs. 234,473,101 on Friday. The All Share Index was down at 1,058.33 points to that of 1,183.00 points on Friday. The growth indicated an increase of Rs 42,938,373. The Milanka Index decreased to 1,808.23 points compared to 2,101.23 points on Friday. SLT, JKH, Nations Trust, Merchant Bank, Colombo Land and Lanka Ventures were the day's largest contributors. Domestic purchase was at Rs. 2,983 million. Foreign purchases were Rs. 207 million. Bogala Graphite, W.M. Mendis, Tea Services, Serendib Hotels and Durdans were the top five gainers. Housing Development Finance Corp Bank announced a 5 % first final dividend. SriLankan Airlines presents 'Gifted hands 2004' SriLankan Airlines presents 'Gifted hands 2004', an exhibition of arts and crafts produced by SriLankan Airlines' staff on February 14 and 15 at the National Art Gallery. There will be a wide and attractive range of exhibits from bridal saris to pottery and paintings. This is the fourth consecutive year that the Creative hands exhibition is being held, and it has always attracted a wide audience of arts and crafts lovers.
