Former Parliamentarian Anura Bandaranaike offers Thambili water to an elderly woman who participated in the death fast campaign commenced by 13 farmers on February 6 urging the Government to bring down fertiliser prices. The farmers called off their campaign yesterday following an assurance given to them through a memorandum presented by Bandaranaike that the Freedom Alliance will not only reduce fertiliser prices but also solve hardships faced by farmers. Former MPs Anura Dissanayake, Wimal Weerawansa and Arjuna Ranatunga are also in the picture.

Thirteen farmers including a JVP Parliamentarian who commenced a death fast opposite the Fort Railway station on February 6 to force the Government to bring down Urea fertiliser prices yesterday called off their campaign following a memorandum presented to them by former Parliamentarian Anura Bandaranaike.
