Former MP Anura Bandaranaike charged that the prices of all essential food items skyrocketed during the last two years under the UNF Government who nevertheless went out of its way to help the affluent class and the LTTE, while ignoring the poor. He said the Freedom Alliance was confident of forming a Government on April 2. "No force can prevent our victory" he told a meeting at Sri Rajasinghe National College, Ruwanwella . Bandaranaike who is also the Senior Advisor to the President, said although Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is his good friend, he (the Prime Minister) was not a good administrator and lacked the experience and intellectual capacity to solve problems on his own. President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga on the other hand is a seasoned politician who cannot be easily duped by anyone. "She will definitely resolve the ethnic problem and continue the peace talks, Bandaranaike assured. The meeting was organised by former Kegalle District PA MP Ranjith Siyambalapitiya. |
