The Communist Party last night decided to contest the forthcoming general election from the Freedom Alliance. The decision was taken at the party's Central Committee meeting held last evening.

A senior member of the party said, they expect to sign an MoU.

Senior members of the party were also scheduled to meet the President for a discussion today, party sources said.
