Delmege promotes professionalism in Shipping Business The Delmege Forsyth & Co. (Shipping) Award for the best student in the subject of "Shipping Business" at the annual qualifying examinations of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers was presented for the fifth successive year at the recent awards function of the institute. Created by Delmege Shipping to demonstrate the company's commitment to promoting professionalism in the local shipping sector, the award comprises a handsome shield and a cash award. D. M. Kelaart of Ace Freight Management (Pvt) Ltd., was the recipient of the award for 2003. A spokesman for Delmege Shipping said one of the key drivers behind the company's success is its focus on professional development through education and training. "As a company whose historical involvement in shipping spans more than a century, Delmege Forsyth is committed to supporting the efforts of the Sri Lankan branch of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers to enhance professionalism in this sector," the spokesman said.
