Internet-based online degrees for Lankan students By Sudarshana Perera Universitas 21 Global , a pre-eminent on-line business school entered into a strategic alliance with Ceylinco Global Knowledge alliance (Pvt) Ltd to provide internet-based online degrees to Sri Lankan students. The franchise agreement is to make a paradigm shift in the tertiary education opening many vistas for the local students to compete with global standards while meeting international standards in education. This was made known at a media briefing held at Hotel Continental on Wednesday. "E-learining will fast gain momentum in this region with the current shift towards knowledge based driven economy. This alliance will help in providing the best education and career planning factilites to Lankan students", said CEO, Universitas 21 Global, Dr. Mukesh Aghi. " According to statistics, number of Sri Lankan students opting for tertiary education is rapidly increasing.
