12 oarsmen for SAF games by Richard Dwight After a rigorous training programme conducted by the national rowing coach, Lakmal Wikremage and, the subsequent trials held and assessments made, 12 oarsmen from Sri Lanka have been selected to represent the country in the rowing competitions to be held at the SAF Games in Pakistan from March 29 to April 7. The team, managed by Deva Henry in accordance with weight will compete in categories one being the open category above 72.5 kgs and the other being the light weight below 72.5kgs. The oarsmen making it to the SAF Games are Sanjeewa Perera, Devaka Seneviratne, Usman Fatharally, Isuru Perera, Prajith Perera, Dineshka Aluwihare, Diluk Aluwihare, Dejan de Zoysa, P. Fonseka, Udesh Hettarachchi, Chanaka Talpahewa and Mewan Goonewardene. Those who will pit their might in the events of the open category above 72.5kgs are: Fours Sanjeewa Perera (Bow), Devanka Seneviratne (2), Usman Fatharally (3), Isuru Perera (Stroke), Reserves Pragith Perera, Dineshka Aluwihare. Pairs Usman Fatharally (Bow), Diluk Aluwihare (Storke), Reserve - Pragith Perera. Double scull Isuru Perera, Dejan de Zoysa, Reserve P. Fonseka, Sculls P.
