Trinity first holders of Anderson trophy by S. M. Jiffrey Abdeen, Kandy Sports cor. The 88th Kandys' Battle of the Blues between St. Anthony's College and Trinity College ended in a draw but the Trinitians lifted the late Jack Anderson Memorial trophy in its first year of offering by virtue of their first innings lead at Katugastota yesterday. This match formed part of the Antonians 150th year celebrations and a very large crowd was present, but it was very unfortunate that the Eagles could not win the trophy offered in memory of one of their greatest batsmen in its maiden year which was mainly due to some inept batting in their first innings when they allowed the Lions to dictate terms to them.
