Over Rs. one billion worth of electricity is annually wasted due to negligence of the public and mismanagement by industrialists, stated the Secretary, Ministry of Power and Energy, Viji Jegarasasingham addressing a stakeholders' meeting on establishing a Sustainable Guarantee Facility (SGF).
